A female passenger of Kenyan nationality, arriving from Nairobi, was apprehended by Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officers at Mumbai Airport based on intelligence developed by the agency.

Upon examination of the passenger's luggage, DRI officers discovered 1490 grams of a white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine. The illicit market value of the seized narcotics is estimated to be approximately Rs. 14.90 crore.

The drugs were cleverly concealed within two black-colored polythene packets, ingeniously placed inside a hair conditioner bottle and a body wash bottle. The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) played a crucial role in detecting and preventing the illegal trafficking of narcotics, highlighting the significance of intelligence-led operations at international airports.

The apprehended woman is now in custody as investigations unfold, underlining the collaborative efforts of enforcement agencies to curb the menace of drug trafficking and uphold the security at Mumbai Airport.
