In a significant announcement, Swami Jitendranand, the General Secretary of All India Sant Samiti, has declared that he won't eat food until the Gyanvapi is handed over to Hindus as a temple. His decision comes after the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) confirmed the existence of a temple structure at the Gyanvapi complex.

Swami Jitendranand, known for his commitment, explained that saints possess the power of penance, and this fasting resolution is a personal choice, not a formal movement. This isn't the first time he's taken such a step; he previously fasted for four months during the Ram Janmabhoomi movement in Ayodhya.

In a dedication to the Ram Janmabhoomi cause in Ayodhya, Swami Jitendranand refrained from consuming food for four months, surviving solely on 1.25 liters of cow's milk. Now, he announces his commitment to fasting until Hindus safeguard the Kashi Gyanvapi temple.

The ASI survey report, made public by District Judge Dr. Ajay Krishna Vishwavesh, revealed the presence of a pre-existing Hindu temple at the Gyanvapi site. This confirmation has sparked a renewed legal battle, with the Muslim side expressing their determination to continue the fight.

Vishnu Shankar Jain, the lawyer representing the temple side, shared insights from the ASI survey, highlighting the discovery of 34 inscriptions in Devanagari, Telugu, and Kannada scripts within Gyanvapi. These inscriptions, found on stones from pre-existing Hindu temples, suggest their reuse during construction and repair.
