In a significant move towards boosting tourism, the state government, led by the ambitious Chief Minister, has approved the Tourism Development Participation Plan for the development of tourist destinations across all constituencies in the state. The third phase of this initiative has been greenlit for Mathura, allocating approximately four crore rupees for the refurbishment of ornamental poles, facade lighting, and divider maintenance in the city.

Earlier approvals under this plan included around 2.22 crore rupees for the facade lighting of the Banke Bihari Temple and Dampeir Nagar's museum in Mathura. Additionally, 4.59 crore rupees were sanctioned for illumination systems along various roads in the city. These details were shared by the Minister of Tourism and Culture for the state, Mr. Jayveer Singh.

Highlighting the significance of Mathura-Vrindavan in the state's tourism landscape, Minister Jayveer Singh emphasized the continuous enhancement of tourist facilities. Under the Chief Minister's Tourism Development Participation Plan, Mathura is set to undergo projects totaling approximately four crore rupees. This includes the restoration of dividers from Chhathikara Tiraha to Multilebil, installation of lighting systems in ornamental poles, and facade lighting along roadways. The funding for these projects will be a shared responsibility, with 50% provided by the state government and the remaining 50% by the Mathura-Vrindavan Development Authority.

Minister Jayveer Singh stated that representatives, capable individuals, organizations, and associations are eligible to propose projects under this plan. The cost of these proposals will be divided equally between the government and the individual or organization. The Minister also highlighted that the scheme aims to identify and develop the most important locations in each assembly constituency as high-quality tourist destinations.

Expressing the state government's commitment to encouraging more people to explore tourism, the Tourism Minister emphasized the readiness to develop tourism destinations in all constituencies. The state envisions increased domestic and international tourist numbers, fostering economic activities and creating employment opportunities for the residents.
